Having graduated with Honors at Newcastle Dental School in 1996, Mark identified his passion for delivering aesthetic dentistry.  His commitment to excellence led him to pursue further education in the UK and overseas.

Marks journey from a distinguished qualification in dental school to his specialized focus on aesthetic restorative dentistry underscores his unwavering dedication to provide top-tier dental care.

Nigel Hargreaves’ professional career began when he qualified as a dentist from Sheffield University in 1988 gaining the KaVo prize in oral surgery. He started advanced restorative dentistry training in 1999 and completed his Master’s degree in Restorative Dentistry in 2005 at the Leeds Dental Institute.

Nigel Hargreaves has worked in private prosthodontics practice since 1995 and has received advanced training in the fields of Implantology, Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry, from some of the world’s leading clinicians.

Experience: A little introduction to me! My name is Holly. I’m a general dentist with a particular interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry.

I studied for 5 years at Bristol Dental School before moving to Birmingham and completing further training in general dental practice, community dental services and oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Since then I have successfully completed the Hargreaves Academy Advanced Restorative Programme alongside working full time at Honley Dental Practice.

My aim at work is to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with my patients whilst providing the highest standard of dentistry to create the most beautiful smiles 😁.

I have a particular interest in:

But I also enjoy general dentistry including:

In my spare time I enjoy running, cooking and spending time with friends and family!

Dr Bethan Speight

Role: Dentist

Qualifications: BDS Dental Surgery, University of Manchester; BSc Biomedical Sciences, Cardiff University

Experience: Dr Speight qualified from the University of Manchester in 2019. After completing her training in Bristol, she worked in Maxillofacial Surgery and the Community Dental Service before joining General Practice in early 2022. She enjoys providing dental care to all patients, especially those with dental anxiety, aiming to help them overcome their fears and maintain their smiles. Her clinic offers a friendly and stress-free environment for patients to express their dental concerns. Dr Speight is qualified to provide Invisalign and is currently working on her PGCert in Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry.

Personal Life: Outside of work, Dr Speight enjoys CrossFit, long-distance running, and experimenting with vegetarian cooking. She is also a self-confessed foodie.

Role: Hygienist

Qualifcations: Trained as a Dental Nurse, Qualified as a Hygienist from Leeds Dental Institute in 1986

Experience: Janet has been with Honley Dental since its opening in 1982. She plays a vital role in maintaining oral health through a preventative approach, known for her friendly and gentle manner. Janet has built trusting relationships with many patients, converting even the most nervous individuals into regular attendees.

Personal Life: Janet has been married for nearly 40 years. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, watching her three sons play sports, walking her dog, and reading.

Role: Dental Nurse

Qualifications: Qualified as a Dental Nurse in April 2019

Experience: Zoe completed further training with an Implant Nursing Course. She is dedicated to her role and passionate about continuous learning.

Personal Life: Zoe and her husband enjoy following the Grand Prix, camping, travelling, and exploring new activities together.

Role: Dental Therapist

Qualifications: Qualified as a Dental Therapist from Leeds Dental Institute in 2007

Experience: Katy has worked in both NHS and private practices since qualifying. She has extensive experience in reassuring nervous patients and is passionate about providing good oral hygiene advice and care throughout treatment. Katy creates a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for her patients, ensuring they understand every stage of their treatment.

Personal Life: When not working, Katy enjoys spending time with her family, staying active with her three daughters, walking, and watching her girls compete in various sports.
